Red-Tailed Hawk just Basking

This beautiful bird wasn't about to be outdone by all of the latest eagle imagery. She or he (too difficult to tell) sat pretty while I took her portrait. Eagle Flying in Perfect Light

These are the moments I dream of...photographing the bald eagles flying into a warm evening sun. So many times you get angles that create shadows and dark wings or bright heads, but when you can capture them looking into the sun, you can expose for the white of their heads and the image is almost perfect straight out of the camera.
