This is one of my favorite poses from my last visit to the Mississippi River. The wing position just inches above the water ready to propel this large bird into the air with ease is just an impressive task and shows just how powerful they are. Here is one more eagle image for today. When the eagles get some speed, it can be very difficult to track them with the camera. Here is one where the eagle was moving at a pretty good pace. I have been wanting to get a lower angle image of the eagles flying over the river. I finally found a decent spot that allowed for me to get lower to the water...all I needed was a bird to cooperate. Thankfully this beauty flew in just perfectly for me to take the photo. Facebook

Moon Eagle
