Red-Tailed Hawk just BaskingThis beautiful bird wasn't about to be outdone by all of the latest eagle imagery. She or he (too difficult to tell) sat pretty while I took her portrait. Many times these hawks are too skittish and fly away as soon as I raise my camera, but this one didn't mind me taking the portrait. The light was very nice and I like the composition with her in front of the shadows of the tree to make her stand out even more. I hope you enjoy this image as much as you have been enjoying the eagle photos.
