There were multiple scenes that took my breath away including this view of the snowy banks along the lake with the trees covered in ice. The whole scene glistened of silver and white. This is not a black and white. You can see the blue of the ice and there is a little yellow shack that barely shows through the trees in the far left side of the imag...

Tufted Titmouse on a Snowy Branch

Today is National Bird Day which, naturally, calls for a bird image. Here is one of my favorite little birds to watch in the winter...the tufted titmouse. This was taken on Sunday. Looks like this little guy still has lunch on his beak.

Flying in a Winter Wonderland

What a beautiful morning it was at Dawson Lake this morning. I spent several hours making images. Here is the first of many to come. I can't imagine how beautiful it must be for these geese to fly over the Moraine View State Park while it is blanketed in ice and snow.

Deer in the Thickets

I watched about 30 deer cross the street from the plowed fields to this amazingly lit prairie grass. I was patient and let them cross from a distance with the hopes that I might be able to spot them for an image as I drove by. I was blessed wit this small window into the grass where several were looking out at me. The lighting was magical.
