How impressive is this young bald eagle looking in flight? This young eagle is probably in its 4th year. The head and tail feathers aren't completely white, the beak isn't fully yellow, the eyes are paler but not as yellow as an adult, and there are a few wing feathers that aren't completely dark yet. Wing Span and Talons Extended

Love this dramatic pose of the eagle grabbing the fish with wings fully open and talons fully stretched. Like many things, it is just a matter of inches and getting these eagles have to get it just right to successfully catch fish during the critical winter months.
