I am so happy to have had the experience of watching these tree swallows gathering bugs and feeding their nestlings. I'm also happy that I was able to capture this moment and share it with you all. The swallow would fly up to the house where a nestling was anxiously waiting to be fed with a mouth wide open. The adult swallow would then stick his/her beak inside the open nestling's beak to deliver the meal (bolus of bugs that were caught). The nestling would go inside and a new nestling would stick his/her head out and wait for a meal. These two parent swallows worked very hard flying around the field gathering bugs and delivering meals. I watched them for a good hour and captured several images. Here is one image showing the busy papa or mama delivering a meal. I love nature, I love capturing these moments, and I love sharing the images and experiences with you all to enjoy.
