As I was birding on several trails at Dawson Lake, I always take the opportunity to appreciate potential landscape images. Even with my 400mm lens on, it didn’t stop me from noticing these beautiful scenes. The colors aren’t in full force yet, but pockets of brilliant reds, glowing yellows, and warm oranges are beginning to appear everywhere, adding little flashes of fall beauty throughout the landscape. I love this time of year, when the landscape slowly comes alive with color and every turn of the trail seems to reveal another beautiful autumn scene.
