This tractor was parked along a tree line behind some fields screaming to have its image taken. I knew as I was taking the photo it could be challenging because it was in the shade, yet I wanted to get some of the pretty blue sky in the scene. Here is a simple landscape taken east of Bloomington this evening as the sun was setting. It is pretty magical watching the colors come alive as the sun goes down. I know I've been raving about the Colorado sunsets lately, but the Illinois sunsets can be pretty spectacular too. Enjoy!

Artful Monarch

I've seen so many of these beautiful monarch butterflies this year. This was taken a few days back but today I looked across a field of wildflowers in the Mackinaw River Valley and counted at least 8 monarchs flitting around. I love art and I love when I can take a scene and apply my artistic interpretation to it. I hope you all enjoy this monarch...
