The hummingbird can be quite difficult to photograph due to how fast they move and how small they are, but they are so much fun to watch. This male ruby-throated hummingbird seemed to hover by just to pose and say hi.

In my pursuit of hummingbirds this past weekend, I photographed several of these golden finches...my youngest son's favorite bird. I love how vibrant these little birds are, which makes them great match for the beautiful wildflowers.

This image was made using 5 images to stitch together to form a panorama. Having lens options really comes in handy when shooting a sunset. I was using a wide angle for many of the sunset shots (10-18mm) but this didn't allow for a great view of the mountains. At times I used a 70-200mm to get a little closer, but for this image I switched to my 40...

While at the Denver Botanic Gardens, we saw lots of bees doing their thing on the flowers. I loved the colors and textures of this image when I took it.
