This was a fun interaction to capture. I was getting images of Red-breasted Merganser and Cormorants as they were fishing. I was excited to get them coming out of their dives with a fish in their mouth. Sneaking Up on a Wood Duck

I just love these ducks but I can never seem to get close enough to them. Today I was finally able to get a few shots before this and 2 other wood ducks took off. You can see the reeds of grass in the foreground as I was trying to get the shot. Thankfully the grass didn't obscure the shot too much. Check out those colors!
