The Pelicans on Lake Evergreen haven't been as photogenic, choosing to stay just out of photo range. I have many images of them a ways out. Even this image is cropped quite a bit but at least they posed for a few images today. I like to call this group the 3 amigos. They hung out together most of the afternoon.

American Coots on the Run

Unfortunately many of these water fowl are easily spooked as was the case with these American Coots. As soon as I turned the corner, I heard the commotion and quickly changed the focus mode to area and tried to pan with the birds as they ran across the water to take off. It is so cool to watch them running across the water.
