I don't mind back-lit images, especially when they add this nice rim light to the eagle's wings and head. This bird is hiding its fish nicely below his tail feathers hoping other eagles won't notice.

One of the many challenges of photographing bald eagles, is trying to manage the light. You don't want the white feathers getting totally washed out nor do you want the wings too dark losing detail.
