Midwest Beauty

There is beauty all over the Midwest. In my pursuit for the next nature/wildlife image, I stumble upon many breathtaking scenes, especially some of these old barns that litter the Midwest countryside. Catching them in the right light and angle leads to some beautiful and iconic Midwest scenes.

Fox Stare as the Snow Begins to Fall

I was gifted this encounter with a beautiful fox this afternoon. It was just as the snow started falling. You can see the snow flakes starting to accumulate on its head and back. He really did stand out beautifully against the dull winter grasses. Such a beautiful animal.

Pretty Robin in a Juniper Tree

One of my favorite little trees to check this time of year because it attracts all kinds of birds looking for food is this Juniper Tree. On this particular afternoon, I found an American Robin all nestled in, keeping warm, and eating the berries.

A Doe at Sunset

I usually always see deer in the fields around Lake Evergreen in the evening, but they typically just blend in with the brown fields and the low light. As I rounded the corner, I caught this moment of a doe silhouetted nicely against the sunset. It was a beautiful sight. I was thankful for the quick pose she gave me.
