Sneaky Coyote on the Banks of the Mackinaw

As I was photographing the sunflowers atop the bluff along the Mackinaw River, I peeked over the side and spotted this coyote. I barely captured this image before it ducked into the brush. Most times when I see these coyotes it is too dark to get an image or they don't look real photogenic. This coyote was very healthy and quite large.

Hummingbird and Butterfly- Sharing is Caring

How about this cute photo of a ruby-throated hummingbird and a monarch butterfly sharing a single milkweed bloom. It was a happy surprise. I was photographing the butterfly on the milkweed when the hummingbird decided to photobomb the image. The two didn't seem upset at all.

Sunflower Dew

Make sure to zoom in on this one. There was a thick layer of morning dew when I took this image along with a blanket of fog earlier in the morning. The whole field was covered. You can see the droplets covering the sunflower petals. Sunflower Dew sounds like a great band name!
