I managed to capture this image of this eagle taking off from the tree it was perched on. It all happened so fast that only captured a few of the images in focus before I lost focus as it flew almost directly over my head. It was a pretty sweet moment. You can see a bit of a juvenile that was perched on a limb in the background.

Golden Hour Light on an Eagle

I'm digging the golden hour light that this eagle is basking in. This is the color straight out of the camera. I've viewed these eagles under just about every natural lighting condition available but nothing beats those few moments just before the sun goes behind the westward treeline.
