Perspective in Alaska
Alaska has a way of making one feel small. I was trying to capture this image of the massive mountains of trees. It is difficult to judge their size from the image alone, but I was lucky enough to capture a whale's fin as it was re-entering the water. The average adult humpback whale weighs between 25 and 40 tons and measures 43 to 52 feet in length. It looks small compared to these mountains rising out of the Pacific Ocean.
