One of my favorite little birds is the Eastern Bluebird. I've seen them and have taken a photo of them here and there but nothing like the morning I had today. I went out early hoping for a decent sunset...it seems like months since we have seen the sun this winter and that continued to be the case this morning, so no sunrise images for me. I didn't let that ruin my day...I still had a couple of hours to search for some scenes or wildlife. I drove around Lake Evergreen and near one of the boat launches I spotted some birds hopping form tree to tree. One of the trees was a Juniper loaded with little berries. I stayed in my car with the window half rolled up. I got out my new (Christmas gift) window bean bag to rest my lens on and waited. My patience paid off. I spotted many birds in my time there including several Eastern Bluebirds. It made for some great practice with my Canon EOS R trying to get some in-flight images. I was also blessed with some late morning sun to help light their vibrant blue feathers. I hope you enjoy these images as much I do.
