Aerial Magician
Here is another Mississippi River Bald Eagle taken on 1-4-18. Due to the cloudy day, the skies behind the eagle were bright white so controlling the exposure enough to get details and keeping some contrast between the white feathers and white sky were tricky. I would prefer blue sky but making this a black and white image really helps to add contrast to the image. Did I clip the wings? Yeah I did but there is now way I could discard this image and pose and I love filling the frame which makes the image more dramatic. Some would discard this image but to me it is art.
