I'll Scratch Your Back if You'll Scratch MineThis is just one segment of the flock of pelicans from yesterday morning on Lake Bloomington. There were hundreds of birds flocked together so tightly that they were on top of each other. They did look like they were scratching each other's backs at times. I love the light and setting of this photo. You can see the dimly-lit shore and tress in the background, which gives just enough information to give the viewer a sense of the environment. The few ducks in the background are nice addition too. The pelicans, the main subject, are brightly lit by the morning sun and the reflection is just as magical in the image as it was for my eyes in real life.
