I was happy to see a couple of Blue Grosbeaks at Schroeder Nature Preserve last weekend. I really enjoy watching these birds as their beautiful colors dart across the fields. I hope they stick around so I can continue to see them this summer.

Playful Gnatcatcher

The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher can be a playful and entertaining bird to watch. There were a couple of them at Funk's Grove that gave the funniest looks and even posed in this tiny nest. They were not bothered by me or my camera at all.
