I love this spot, not only for photography, but for fishing as well. It is near the dam at Dawson Lake. The colors were starting to pop out last weekend, so I was very excited to see this spot was one of the most vibrant on the lake. Fall is in full force here in Central Illinois. Fall Evening Doe

Tonight I went out for a little, long overdue, r&r hike and this was one of the little surprises God gave me. This doe was walking across the opening form one stand of trees to another right in front of a pretty lake being illuminated by a setting sun. I love silhouettes. Follow Me on Facebook!

In the Shadows

The gorillas at Brookfield Zoo are amazing, but very difficult to photograph sometimes. The lighting in their enclosure is very dim in many of the spots that they sit. This ponderous gorilla was sitting at the bottom of the enclosure under an overhang. There was just enough light hitting her face to get a shot. This was taken at 3200 iso with my 70...
