Sometimes the Canon 7d amazes me with how fast it can grab focus especially when paired with the 400 f/5.6 lens. It was another successful year of fireworks on my parents home lake in Petersburg, IL. We had a great time with family and friends celebrating Independence Day. Here is an image just after dusk on the lake as the Fireworks show started. What a perfect evening!

A landscape taken this afternoon while driving around with my kids. I love being able to show them the finer things in life. They may not be as excited as I am, but they usually perk up and talk about how beautiful and peaceful these views can be, which is a small victory for me.

I love seeing the polar bears at Brookfield Zoo; simply amazing animals. Beautiful Anana looked right at me for a quick portrait. Photographing these white bears isn't easy on bright sunny days, but I am happy with this image overall.
