Young Eagle Get it Under Control

This young eagle, maybe a few years old, is still perfecting the art of the catch. You can see it looks a little clumsy with the tail feathers still trying to level itself and the talons a little tangled. No worries, it does manage to get the fish, but i love this image showing a little less graceful of an approach.

Keeping an Eye on the Prize

A remarkable and fun thing to observe is the way these large eagles are able to pivot their entire body and wings while keeping their head and eyes steady on their target. They can turn on a dime while never losing sight of the prize...I just have to keep my eye on them while they make these split second turns so I can get the image.

A Stony Stare

Imagine this massive bird barreling down on you with wings fully extended (7 feet) and weighing in at around 10lbs with a stony stare that meant business. I wouldn't want to be a on this eagle's menu at all!
