Check out this little warbler. I feel lucky to get 2 images in focus because this tiny warbler was hard to keep up with. This is a lifer for me as I've never seen this type of warbler before. Beautiful little bird.

I was photographing several gold finches in this field and I expected to see another one as there was movement in this bush right in front of me. To my surprise, a common yellowthroat warbler popped his head through. It is difficult to expose for his dark mask and eyes on a bright sunny day in an open field, especially when I was expecting another...

An Electric Sunset

Nothing like pulling over to try to get images of a sunset with dramatic clouds and capturing this. I was quite surprised! The strike was about 4 miles away and this was the first indication of lightning when I pulled over. It sure made for an interesting experience and image.
