I always try to track the birds with my lens and save a few images for the buffer even after they make their catch. They typically do something really cool, like look at their fish, eat it mid-air, or even drop it. It is very entertaining.

It was a long and very cold day today photographing the bald eagles. The lighting wasn't good most of the day and the eagles were fishing much of the open water instead of closer to shore. The number of geese were unreal at Lake Evergreen last week. It amazes me that these birds can handle the winters like they do. These birds were flying across the lake to join the hundreds of geese on the opposite shoreline. I like the symmetry of the two birds in the middle.
