I couldn't have dialed up a better scene for this mature male Indigo Bunting to pose in. I am always looking and hoping for birds to land in these bushes. Most of the time, they don't, but every now and then, the stars align and I'm rewarded for my patience. This is what makes nature photography so challenging and yet so rewarding. I can't direct the wildlife where I want them or how to pose. I just have to be ready for when the moment arrives. This was taken at Moraine View State Park today!
