These small shad were just scattered among these ice chunks due to the cold and, while small, made for easy snacks for these eagles. The juveniles weren't as proficient as the adults at fishing so these sort of meals were perfect.

I also wanted to post how humbled I am by the attention my bald eagle images have received over the past week. I've had a couple of images go viral with 1000's of shares, likes, and comments. I've gained over 150 new Facebook followers, Flickr followers, and 500px followers. Thank you all for the support! I appreciate each and every one of you, so in a way, this juvenile is taking a respectful bow.
