The Stormy RockiesWhen we were in Colorado, it stormed just about every afternoon from 3:00 pm on. I joked with my family that I wasn't able to see a single Colorado sunset while I was out there, which was true. While this made for a few quiet, indoor afternoons, I do enjoy photographing all nature including the cloudy, stormy skies. Here is one of those moody afternoons where the clouds were getting heavy and dark. I love the mood of this image and the black and white contrast of in the clouds, the snowy mountains, and the lush alpine trees.
