Lake Evergreen Common LoonI've been wanting to get a better image of one of these beautiful migratory birds. This isn't the best image, but I'll take it since it was on Lake Evergreen and close enough to shore for a usable image. The sun was going down so not a lot of light, but I like the dramatic light that I did get. There is a pair of these loons on the lake. The challenge of getting a better image still remains. These birds are amazing swimmers and go underwater to catch their meal, which is usually bait fish.
