Eagle Over Glistening WaterThere are certainly challenges to shooting on a bright, shiny day. This isn't exposed perfectly as the eagle is a bit darker but if I let too much light in, the water gets "blown out" or too bright to make the image usable. I'm happy with this balance. Of course shooting raw helps. For this image, I was able to keep just enough detail in the water to save it in post processing (lightroom), while still getting a decently exposed eagle. I try to overexpose a little but under sunny afternoon skies it gets challenging. This is the benefit of shooting in manual mode and knowing how I want to final image to look.
