Locked OnI have taken many eagle images the past two seasons and with each trip I feel I get better technically and artistically as a photographer. Everything matters...weather conditions, camera, lens, shutter-speed, f-stop, ISO, focus, pose, angles, anticipation, etc. When everything goes just right as you push the shutter button, you know it. My keeper rate has gone up over the past two years. If you spend a day at the Mississippi River, you may see a handful of good fishing sequences so you have to make the best of the opportunities. Sure, some turn out a little out of focus or a little blurred; after all, it does happen in a split second. Here is one image showing the eagle's approach. I love this moment...it is probably one of my favorite poses. Please like my photography Facebook page if you like this image Troy Marcy Photography.
