Eagle in Simple Elegance

Every year I drive over to Lock and Dam 14, South of Le Clair, IA (only about a 2 hour drive for me). The eagles congregate along the Mississippi River to fish during the cold winter months (usually between Dec. - Feb.). This was the 3rd year that I've made the trip.

Sunday Afternoon Fishing

One of my favorite things to do on Sunday's is fish, but watching these birds fish in the afternoon sun on a cold, winter Sunday is almost as fulfilling. Fishing gives me time to reflect and pray, while watching these bald eagles gives me time to also reflect and appreciate. Have a blessed Sunday.
