A Camouflaged Great Blue Heron

The Great Blue Heron is a master at hunting. Look at this guy blending in with the tangled limbs as he watches for his opportunity to pounce. He is so intent on what he is doing that he doesn't even notice me stalking him, which is unusual as these birds spook very easily.

Call of the Redwing Blackbird

Bufflehead Duck

This bufflehead spooked pretty quick as soon as I walked over a small hill at Lake Evergreen. I barely had enough time to get my camera up to focus and capture this image. I'm really working to improve these type of shots. The water fowl spook very easily and fly fast over the water. I love the reflection in this image. Facebook
