I was able to get out Saturday morning for a little r&r with my camera and the fall colors. This has been one of the most colorful falls we have experienced in Central, IL compared to the past couple of years. I hope you can feel the peace and tranquility I experienced in this image.

Hearing the waves crashing and gulls calling, seeing forever as the water meets the pink and blue sky, feeling the warm breeze on my skin, smelling and tasting the splash of salt water in the air...I was completely enjoying the sea.

Waves Crashing Under the Pier

I was able to time the long exposure image for moments when the waves would crash against the columns of the pier, which created magnificent patterns of swirling water. The black and white treatment accentuated the water swirls and I love the way they contrast with the silhouette of pier.

Savannah Live Oaks

One of my favorite scenes in Savannah was the moss-covered live oak road leading to the Wormsloe Plantation. This gravel lane has been used for several movies and is such a beautiful site that no movies nor images can do it justice. If you are ever in Savannah and you appreciate nature, it is worth checking out. I could spend hours here with my cam...
