A nice view of an eagle in flight showing off. They sure know how to put on a show...the whole scene is amazing. A legendary river with a long history being graced with massive, powerful flying eagles fishing from its waters. It is an epic scene. Please feel free to share this post.

Another eagle lining up his approach. He doesn't take his eye off his target and lines up the perfect angle. If it doesn't look good, he will pull out of the attempt and retry. Sometimes they miss or drop the fish, but it won't stop him from trying again and again...you have to respect that. If you like this image, please like my page - Troy Marcy...

I really enjoy getting back home and uploading images to my computer to see them up close. I knew this eagle was flying at me but getting the eye-contact with him looking directly at me is icing on the cake. As a photographer, it doesn't get much better than this. In my quest to find the next wildlife image, I traverse these backroads clear or not. Needless to say, I love my 4-wheel drive. These drives are one of the perks to nature/wildlife photography. When they get those big wings flapping and then tuck them in, they can really pick up the speed. You better have your camera settings right and be ready to track the moving bird as he accelerates or you get out of focus, unusable shots.
