This was a fun interaction to capture. I was getting images of Red-breasted Merganser and Cormorants as they were fishing. I was excited to get them coming out of their dives with a fish in their mouth. In this image, the Red-breasted Merganser came up and a Ring-billed Gull immediately turned and tried to get the fish from the Merganser. I have a few more images of these exchanges to share but here is the first. I love capturing interaction in nature.
