For those that know me well, know wolves are my favorite wild animal. I've always appreciated their family, pack-orientated behavior and I think they are beautiful. We need to continue to protect them. This is one of several Mexican Gray Wolves at Brookfield Zoo that are part of a breeding program to repopulate these once-considered extinct animals. This guy was controlling the top rock in their 2.1 acre, beautiful exhibit. I'm assuming this is probably the Alpha Male or Female of the pack. I love the eye-contact I managed to establish with him or her. I love this image, which is currently my desktop wallpaper.
