One of my favorite birds and photography subjects is the Bald Eagle. Alaska is home to more than half of the world’s Bald Eagle population. I could make a trip to Alaska just to photograph these birds. I managed to restrain myself on this trip, but I still came away with these images of Bald Eagles, most of them taken from the ship, with the exception of a couple taken in Juneau. It was amazing seeing them in Glacier Bay against the backdrop of that incredible blue water and ice floes.
