This is one of my favorite poses from my last visit to the Mississippi River. The wing position just inches above the water ready to propel this large bird into the air with ease is just an impressive task and shows just how powerful they are. The bird's stare also conveys a strong sense of power and always gives me the chills when I see that stare through my viewfinder.
