Olympic National Park La Push Beach 2
The first image I wanted to share from Olympic National Park is actually one of the last images I took there, because this is the scene that remains most deeply ingrained in my mind from our time in this truly otherworldly place.
Olympic National Park offered an incredible diversity of landscapes, and even though we spent only a day and a half exploring, it left us wanting so much more. We hiked through the lush Hoh Rain Forest and explored trails leading to two of the park’s beautiful beaches, but we barely scratched the surface of everything this incredible park has to offer.
I took this image at Second Beach at La Push, not far from where we were staying, with only a little light remaining in the evening sky. The towering sea stacks, rugged shoreline, and tide pools created a scene that felt almost dreamlike. As the day faded, the last light settled over the Pacific, and for a few moments, everything came together perfectly.
This is the image I will remember when I think of Olympic National Park—a place that felt wild, peaceful, and almost otherworldly, and one that reminded me just how much beauty is waiting to be found when we take the time to step into nature.
